Above is the link to CNN Student News. I will usually show this to the students on Friday, but if something important happens around the world I will make time for this in my lesson. The news program is roughly 10 minutes long, on average, and keeps the students up to date on what is going on in the world.

Welcome to Ancient World History! In this class we will cover the history of Human Civilizations all the way from the early civilizations of Mesopotamia and end up around the Renaissance. Its a lot to cover, but its going to be a lot of fun to build the major civilizations of the world together as a class. As we work through the history of this great nation, one of my goals is to "Do History" instead of simply teaching the material. By doing history, we will be immersing ourselves as a class into what it was like to live during the various stages of Human Civilizations in history. I'm really looking forward to this class and I hope you are too!
